PRESS RELEASE

On November 9, 2001, the astounding 640,000 square foot entertainment complex, Hollywood & Highland, opened its doors to the public. This magnificent facility hosts broadcast facilities, a fitness club, 70 shops, restaurants, cafes, a six screen movie theatre, a 40,000 square foot grand ballroom and the new Academy Awards Kodak Theatre. Additionally, within this modern architectural landmark are several permanent art installations funded by the mandated art in public places fund that required the Hollywood and Highland developers, to designate 1% of their budget to public art projects.

Grandest among these art installations is the impressive four story video sculpture, Chandelier Fall, situated in the area adjacent to the Kodak Theatre entrance, surrounded by the ascending and descending escalators designed by artist Michael Davis and filmmaker Christie Frields. Including half a dozen solo artists, it features the breathtaking recording artist and dancer, Beth The Sybil. In this video exhibit, Beth dances to the original composition, Rivertrill, composed by her music partner, Greg Harris, from her recently released debut CD, My King Nimrod - A Medieval Rock Odyssey.

Chandelier Fall will screen two times per hour from 4 - 10pm daily for at least the next five years, but don’t imagine getting bored of seeing the same thing over and over again. The video is driven by a computer hard drive that will randomly reedit the ten minute video every time it plays, creating a reordering of the musical soundtrack as well, which contains several different styles of music, all by Los Angeles based composers.

We are seeking performance opportunities, management, and avenues of distribution. Please contact us in this regard.
